Wireless Radiation and Public Health: What the WHO Reviews Reveal—and Don’t

ICBE-EMF Scientists Challenge WHO-Commissioned Reviews on Wireless Radiation Safety

Press Conference: October 7, 2025 – 9:00 AM Pacific Time

The International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (ICBE-EMF) held a press conference on their new peer-reviewed paper in Environmental Health titled “The WHO-Commissioned Systematic Reviews on Health Effects of Radiofrequency Radiation Provide No Assurance of Safety.”

The publication exposes major methodological flaws in the World Health Organization’s systematic reviews on radiofrequency (RF) radiation, concluding that they fail to demonstrate the safety of wireless technologies or validate current ICNIRP/FCC exposure limits.

In the press conference, the scientists detail evidence cited in the ICBE-EMF analysis and previous publications that reported increased risks of cancer, reduced fertility, and other biological effects at exposure levels well below existing ICNIRP, FCC and IEEE safety limits. ICBE-EMF calls for urgent, science-based public health protections, especially for children, during pregnancy, and those with medical vulnerabilities, and urges a full reassessment of global wireless radiation exposure guidelines.

About the International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (ICBE-EMF):

ICBE-EMF is an international consortium of scientists, doctors, and researchers with expertise and peer-reviewed publications on the biological and health effects of electromagnetic fields, including wireless RF radiation. Wireless devices such as cell phones, cordless phones, Wi-Fi, and cell towers emit radio-frequency (RF) radiation. The Commission is committed to upholding the highest standards of scientific research and makes science-based recommendations to ensure the protection of the public and the environment. ICBE-EMF.org
