Mr. Fernandez-Rodriguez earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
at Unicamp (Microwaves and optoelectronics department) in 1996. He earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering at The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2000 and his advisor was Alvaro A. de Salles.
Mr. Fernandez-Rodriguez is an associate professor at the Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) where he has served in various management roles.
His research focuses are: Bioelectromagnetism, Microwave Circuits, Optoelectronics, Antennas, Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetism and Engineering Education.
He has published over one hundred papers in scientific journals, such as IEEE Access
and Life Science, Environmental Research, International Journal of Microwave and
Wireless Technology, Bioelectromagnetics, Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine,
Annales des Télécommunications, and has presented at many conferences, such as EuMWeek, EuMC, EuMCE (EuMA), EuCAP (EurAAP), IRPA, LAMC (IEEE-MTTS), IMOC (IEEE-MTTS, SBMO), BioEM, (BEMS, EBEA), ITS (IEEE-ComSoc, SBrT), ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education), SBEB, MoMag (SBMag, SBMO), Cobenge, CBFM (ABFM), ALFiM (SAFiM).
